Christmas bazaars

Fruntimmer jewellery will be sold at two Christmas bazaars this year, the first one took place in Vasa last Tuesday and the second one will be at Ritz, also in Vasa, on 11.12..2011. I love the atmosphere at markets just before Christmas!

Mainly earrings and necklases will be sold, below some new items;

Business cards

It took me a while to figure out what my new business cards would look like. As in the things I create, I also want the handcraft and recycled theme to be visible in my business cards, packaging and other things that are related to my business. I found a pack of old stock pearl-white paper with lovely texture at a flea market, that I cut into smaller cards.

The business information was printed on pages from magazines I’ve collected in different stores and glued on the the white paper.

Here are some of the products that were made for a new shop in Vasa called Hattu&Onni. I love their concept! Hats and accessories, handmade soaps and candles. The shop itself is beautiful decorated with recycled/vintage items.

I’ve tried something new lately, a technique I really enjoy working with. Beautiful buttons made from mother of pearl are cut into small, small pieces and glued on to vintage buttons. It takes time and it is fussy but makes a nice result! You will see more of these during autumn.

Autumn is here- time to be creative

Now as the nights are getting darker the inspiration for being creative is popping up! In about two months time Fruntimmer will take part in a craft fair in Seinäjoki and the process of creating new jewellery has started.

I’ve found inspiring materials at flea markets and I’m also very happy with the new glue I’ve tried, without solvents. That will make my jewellery more eco-conscious.

Except making jewellery and sewing I also have to plan my booth, make some more business cards and plan what kind of packages I will use for the products. Fun projects to work on!

Organic A

För att täppa till hålet i utbudet av miljövänliga tyger har Organic A öppnat. Nu är jag stolt återförsäljare av ekologiska Harmony Art tyger med fantastisk kvalité. Förutom tyger säljer butiken även varor tillverkade av tygerna samt en del av Fruntimmer smycken och accessoarer. Linjen för butiken är grön och jag jobbar på att utvidga utbudet. Välkommen!

New products, ties

Fruntimmer will be attending Kierrätystehdas next weekend and just like last year, I will share booth with lovely Karuski. This week I will share some new products that I’ve been working on during spring, first out are these ties made from vintage and organic fabrics. The checkered and white ties are made of organic hemp/silk blends and the colourful ones of lovely vintage fabrics. Enjoy!
